It wasn’t until recently that i was referred to this place and I really didn’t know what to expect. My first trip to Infusco was also my first trip to Sawyer, MI. I gotta say for as small as the town is, I was pleasantly surprised by this coffeeshop. After all, the best places are those obscure little local spots.
I k n e w the coffee was gonna be good as soon as I noticed how aesthetically pleasing the place was. Minimal but cozy & warm, and the people were even warmer. All in all my experience was so good, that I’ve traveled to sawyer three times in the past month just to visit this little gem.
Now for the info you’ve all been waiting for: the C O F F E E. The first and most important thing there is to know is that Infusco roasts their own beans! (Something I️ see is becoming an unintentional trend with all the shops I’ve featured so far.) Actually, I got the opportunity to see the entire roasting process -- which for a coffee snob like me was a real treat. So cool! Honestly I think this is becoming something that I look for in a coffee shop. If a place roasts their own beans you know you’re in for a great latte. However at Infusco I always opt for the cold brew. I️ can’t quite explain it but it’s the best cold brew I’ve had anywhere thus far.
So, if you’re ever up in snowy Michigan or here for a summertime camping getaway, you have to stop in Sawyer for some of the best bean water of your life. xoxo
